Climate Adaptation 2018 conference
Climate Adaptation 2018 conference, 8-10 May
Hosted by: NCCARF and Engineers Australia
Location: Crown Conference Centre, Melbourne
The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility (NCCARF) and Engineers Australia are delighted to invite you to join us in Melbourne from 8 -10 May 2018 at the Crown Conference Centre for the sixth national Climate Adaptation Conference.
The biennial Climate Adaptation Conferences are the major Australian forums focused exclusively on climate vulnerability, impacts and adaptation. The 2018 conference also incorporates Engineers Australia's meeting "Practical responses to climate change". Climate Adaptation 2018 conference will be the sixth in the series, which began in 2010. We expect the 2018 event to attract between 500 and 600 practitioners and researchers from across Australia to share experiences, learn about the latest developments, and showcase activities, strategies and research. Practitioners and policy-makers in Australia are grappling with how to build resilience in its communities and implement adaptive management strategies to address the risks of climate change.
Key dates are:
- Call for abstracts closes: 2 February 2018
- Early bird registration closes: 1 March 2018
- Conference starts: 8 May 2018
The conference brings together researchers and practitioners to share ideas and work toward adaptation solutions.
