Senior Dam Safety Engineer

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia’s largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW employs 750 staff across 25 offices servicing more than 37,000 customers.

 Based in Tatura, we’re seeking an enthusiastic engineer to join our Customer Infrastructure and Assets unit to provide specialist advice relating to dam safety performance and structural integrity of dam assets as well as associated risks.

 You’ll undertake monitoring, inspection, analysis and reporting of the dam safety status and auditing of compliance with relevant national and international guidelines for all of the Corporation’s large dams. Demonstrating exceptional communication skills you’ll lead the periodic review and updating of the GMW’s dam safety portfolio risk assessments in consultation with various teams of GMW.  

 If you have advanced knowledge of technical standards and design principles related to dams assets and a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering we’d love to hear from you.
