Digital & Social Media Lead (full-time, ongoing)

Central Highlands Water is seeking an experienced digital and social media professional with proven communications and engagement experience on a full-time, ongoing basis.

The primary purpose of this role is develop and deliver comprehensive digital and social media engagement strategies, including the creation, publishing of engaging content for a range of digital platforms.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Digital Media Platforms

  • Assist in the development and implementation of CHW’s digital and social media strategy.
  • Coordinate digital marketing activity for strategic campaigns and priority initiatives including writing, editing and publishing social media and website content, and coordinating search engine optimisation activities.
  • Develop and implement targeted content and channel strategies to improve community engagement outcomes, including website goal completion, social media reach and engagement as well as brand building activities.
  • Administer the back end of the website development across the organisation and update when required with creative design input and content writing and support the divisional champions with digital content. 

Digital Performance

  • Monitor and maintain CHW’s social media channels and communities on a day-to-day basis, monitor conversation themes and respond when required.
  • Work closely with the Communications & Engagement team to plan, execute and evaluate all digital channel activity, ensuring ongoing monitoring and regular analysis of digital and social media performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) and work with other members of CHW to develop and deliver engaging and strategically linked social content, employing best practice tools and techniques.

General

  • Participate in CHW initiatives, committees, working groups, etc.
  • Actively engage across all parts of CHW to collaborate in the development and delivery of projects.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities for enhancement through innovative thinking and implementation.
  • Provide support and assistance as required to internal stakeholders.
  • Periodically, provide after hours and/or roster support for events, incidents and emergencies (with appropriate remuneration).
  • Other duties as directed.
