Operations Coordinator - Treatment & Catchment

Tweed Shire Council has an excellent opportunity for an Operations Coordinator – Treatment & Catchment; the role is responsible for ensuring safe and effective operation of Council’s dams, weirs and water and wastewater treatment plants. 

The role provides technical support to senior engineers to manage Council’s water and wastewater plants, reuse schemes and raw water supply and requires extensive experience in water treatment processes. 

Your ability to learn and adopt to various work environments is essential.

We are seeking:

  • Bachelor of Civil, Chemical or Environment Engineering or relevant equivalent qualifications or extensive relevant industry experience and water operations qualifications.

  • Proven skills to ensure effective communication with engineering staff and the public on water quality issues.

  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience in the operation of water and wastewater treatment plants and reticulation systems.

  • Experience and knowledge in chemical and biological processes of water and wastewater treatment.

Where it’s located:

This position is based in Tweed Heads, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
