What will you do?

Aurecon's water resource practice comprises waterways, water quality, groundwater and adaptive planning for infrastructure, strategic planning, economics and natural water resource management.

This role offers the opportunity bring your career to a new level - to develop unique capability at Australia's most innovative consultancy. In this role, the successful candidate will require strategic leadership skills, solid technical expertise and an innovative mind-set.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Enhance and develop integrated water management practice across Vic, Tas & SA (SAVI), integrating project shaping, planning and design
  • Lead and manage major environmental programs across Aurecon market sectors - Water, Infrastructure, Energy, Defence and Built Environment
  • Develop innovative capability and solutions to create and enhance green assets and natural capital
  • Support Aurecon E&P regional leadership to integrate capability on major pursuits and programs at regional and international level

With numerous collaborative opportunities within the Environment & Planning team, you will gain exposure to multi-disciplinary projects providing the chance to develop your skill set within a strong culture that is caring, social and supportive.

We know today's complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will be someone who actively pursues continuous learning and displays motivation while having:

  • A tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, geology or equivalent.
  • Experience in applying legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications.
  • Can articulate the findings of environmental investigations verbally and generate reports which meet regulatory or industry standards.
  • A knowledge of infrastructure focused waste guidance (not essential).
  • Advanced modelling and or planning skills
