We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer Design to join our Water & Waste Infrastructure Team. 

Primary Objectives of the position: 

To be responsible for, under the direction of the Principal Engineer – Design and Delivery, the development and management of design projects required for the delivery of the Capital Works Program.

This includes the provision of specialist investigative and design engineering advice on major infrastructure and capital projects, development of design solutions in conjunction with the project Design Engineers, administration of design consultancies undertaken to develop design solutions, coordination of the specific project requirements as required with internal and external stakeholders and monitor progress on the delivery of the works.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Engineering degree with minimum five years current design experience in water, wastewater and waste or other utility environment.
• Demonstrated experience in design and construction of water, wastewater or solid waste infrastructure and associated equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small multidisciplinary team focused on achieving an assigned goal.
• Demonstrated ability to take the initiative in sourcing information and making decisions required to progress Capital Works projects and assigned tasks.
• Well-developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write reports, correspondence and memorandums.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Water Industry practices.
• Demonstrated ability using effective negotiation skills when dealing with clients.
