We are seeking to appoint a Senior Urban Water/WSUD Engineer.

 Alluvium is an employee-owned consulting firm founded in 2006 to provide advice to government and private organisations on issues facing our water resources, rivers and catchments. Our focus is on waterways and their catchments both in rural and urban settings. We influence the direction of water and NRM management in Australia through our work with federal, state and regional government and private sector clients in the resources and development sectors.

Overview of role

 Business management

•              Oversight of individuals project delivery commensurate with risk and delivery performance

•              Leadership of new business opportunities

•              Assist the CEO and Regional Managers with the following activities:

o              Coordination of resource sharing and identification of future resourcing requirements

o              Recruitment strategy and coordination.

Business Development/Technical delivery

Ability to source, lead and contribute to consulting projects across our urban water and/or NRM business portfolio, in one or a number of the following fields related to our work in water, rivers and catchments:

•              WSUD design

•              Waterway engineering

•              Hydrological and Hydraulic Modelling

•              Catchment management

•              Environmental flow assessments

•              Natural resource monitoring and evaluation.

Measures of success

•              Recognised technical excellence from clients and the industry more generally

•              Effective guidance and leadership input into personal and professional development of staff

•              Expansion of our technical capacity in NSW/ACT in terms of clients and projects

•              Annual progress towards agreed strategic targets

 The role requires a division of time managing the business along with the delivery of consulting services in areas of technical competence.
