The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is a Victorian Government statutory authority whose role it is to work with and support local communities to improve sustainable land, biodiversity and water resources management, in an area stretching from its head office in Colac to Geelong, Ballarat and Peterborough.

Project Officer, Floodplains (Colac/Geelong)
Full Time Permanent – 38 hours per week
Salary range: $69,491 to $79,266 per annum (negotiable based on experience) plus superannuation

A rewarding opportunity is now being offered to play a vital role in the Floodplains program which provides statutory services, planning and advice to support sustainable development and management of waterways and floodplains within the Corangamite CMA.

This position is responsible for the delivery of specific statutory and advisory functions related to floodplains and works on waterways, and will provide input into the development and implementation of projects and programs.

You will have a flexible and adaptable approach, possess the ability to build strong professional relationships and partnerships, and to work as part of a team. You will help to lead a high quality organisational culture and model the values of the Corangamite CMA and the Victorian Public Service.

This role requires experience working in natural resources or environmental management, or statutory planning with an emphasis on waterways and floodplains, and a relevant tertiary qualification.
