The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is a Victorian Government statutory authority whose role it is to work with and support local communities to improve sustainable land, biodiversity and water resources management, in an area stretching from its head office in Colac to Geelong, Ballarat and Peterborough.

General Manager Community & Catchment Services

Full Time Fixed Term as per Contract of Employment – 38 hours per week

Executive remuneration (negotiable based on experience) plus superannuation and vehicle.

Corangamite CMA are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Community & Catchment Services General Manager. With a key focus on increasing community and stakeholder participation and attracting and development partnerships and investment opportunities, this position reports to the CEO and manages a highly skilled and engaged team that include the functions of land health, Landcare, biodiversity, waterway and coastal health, citizen science (including Waterwatch and Estuarywatch), management of the Barwon River and parklands through Geelong and management of other water infrastructure.

About You

You will provide inspirational and strategic leadership to the organisation with the proven capability to develop, motivate and empower your teams. A strategic and analytical thinker, you will also possess the ability to engage, negotiate and influence. You will lead a high performing organisational culture and model the values of the Corangamite CMA and the Victorian Public Sector.

Tertiary qualifications and a strong background in natural resource management, agricultural science, environmental science, community development or other relevant discipline with demonstrable experience in working with project teams in planning and implementing service delivery is also a requirement of the role.
