Our client is going through a period of transformation and are now looking to recruit to a senior hands on manager to run a pivotal part of their business

This role is to manage a portfolio of Capital Projects delivering high quality solutions on time and to budget.

It will require a strong focus on safety and compliance, the role manages a team of Engineers and Delivery Co-ordinators planning and delivering Capital projects to a budget of approximately $30M across the whole Sydney basin

The duties for this operations manager role include:

• Developing scopes for jobs in accordance with specification
• Transform the business and create a structure to develop efficiences
• Overseeing works and providing technical advice as and when required
• Developing operational management processes and project planning
• Creating a budgets in accordance with project delivery
• Commercial and stakeholder management
• Develop a client management plan inline with projects

The ideal candidate will require:

• Tertiary qualification in civil / mechanical engineering or related discipline
• Engineering and business management experience essential
• Water experience will be held in high regard
• Postgraduate project management studies preferred
• Strong client management experience
• Knowledge of building codes and safety laws
• A minimum of 10 years management experience on maintenance or engineering projects
• Be highly analytical with strong commercial acumen
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
