About the role

The Coordinator Environment & Water Quality is responsible for the coordination of activities to ensure health and environment regulatory compliance for the organisation is met. As the leader of a small team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the continued development, improvement, and maintenance of our Water Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

This role places particular emphasis on the implementation and monitoring of policies, programs and strategies for improved environmental and public health management, and providing advice and information on relevant issues to Operations, Management, the Board and other stakeholders as required.

About you

We are looking for the right fit for our team, with the ability to guide and mentor others to implement meaningful improvements in water quality across the East Gippsland region. To be successful in this role you will have the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with the confidence to exercise judgement and offer advice and guidance to achieve outcomes.

This position requires a well-developed level of research and analytical skills, together with the ability to prepare reports for external regulators and communicate advice and findings at all levels across the organisation.

If you have experience in a regulatory environment and a good working knowledge of environmental and risk management systems, then we would like to hear from you! Water industry experience would be a distinct advantage.

This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 3/4 position, from $70,081 - $102,692 per annum (plus minimum ATO Superannuation Guarantee Percentage), based on skills, experience and qualifications.
