 MANAGER OPERATIONS   (Permanent Full Time)

Located in the picturesque Northern Rivers area of NSW, Rous County Council is a special-purpose local government organisation that delivers bulk water and provides flood mitigation and weed biosecurity services.

 The position

The Operations Branch operates and maintains Council’s assets and implements Council’s natural resource management plans through: operation and maintenance scheduling; operation and maintenance services; major maintenance projects; and emergency management.   The Manager Operations is responsible for ensuring optimum delivery of services through: efficient management of the branch; strong people management; effective participation in the management team; and excellent customer service.

 Qualifications and experience

You will require degree qualifications in civil engineering or other related discipline supported by 3-5 years in a similar role; demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical and civil systems relevant to the water supply industry; and demonstrated experience in the management of infrastructure maintenance and operation services in a water supply, treatment or distribution field.

 Conditions of employment

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2014. Salary range $91,000 - $106,000 per annum based on skills and experience, plus statutory superannuation (9.5%). Other generous benefits include: access to Council’s ‘Private lease motor vehicle’ arrangements; a nine (9) day fortnight; and reimbursement of relocation expenses (in accordance with Council’s policy). A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
