Graduate Operations Engineer

(Full time, 12 month contract)

Located in the northern rivers area of NSW, Rous County Council is a special-purpose local government organisation that delivers bulk water and provides flood mitigation and weed biosecurity services.

The position

The Graduate Operations Engineer will provide project, operational support and assistance to the operations team managers.

Qualifications and experience

This role requires a degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering together with demonstrated experience in managing site works and concurrent tasks.

The successful candidate will have sound communication skills with the ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in the Microsoft Office suite of products and knowledge and understanding of roles and responsibilities under the WHS Act 2011 is essential for the position.

You must also be committed to promoting Council’s Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability and Respect.

Conditions of employment

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2017. Salary range $63,564 - $74,349 per annum based on skills and experience plus statutory superannuation (9.5%) and generous working conditions including a 70 hour, nine-day fortnight. A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening and a criminal background check is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
