About the role

In this unique and business critical position as the Manager, Smart Infrastructure, you will manage all aspects of the technical development and implementation of infrastructure that will deliver cost reduction or income to achieve our corporate objectives. In collaboration with the Executive Manager Customer Delivery and the Executive Leadership Team, you will explore resource recovery opportunties at our Sewage Treatment Plants (STP’s) and various intelligence operations activities to support the execution of our self sustainable STP initiatives.  You will be accountable for taking concepts from conception and bringing them to fruition to achieve real business outcomes.  Additionally, you will prepare and present business cases to Unitywater’s Investment Steering Committee and Board to identify commercially viable opportunities to generate additional non regulated revenue.

Skills & Experience

With a commercial mind, you will bring an awareness of the water, sewer and / or energy sectors, with strong operational management and strategic planning at a senior management level.  You will have proven technical experience of resource recovery, STP operation, water and sewer network operation and optimisation and be adept to operating in a complex, highly regulated environment. Being a strategic thinker and delivery focused, you will be able to identify new opportunities.  Additionally, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, you will bring your ability to collaborate across the business, developing key relationships at all levels.
