Lead Water Resources Engineer

About the Role 
As a Lead Water Resources Engineer you will be central in the technical delivery of Water projects for the Resources industry and Urban development projects. You will be coordinating the project with internal and external stakeholders and contributing to the successful performance of the Environment and Water business unit.

The role will see you joining a team of experts in the field and provide you with a variety of water management projects primarily in the mine water management. 
  • Dewatering engineering solutions;
  • Pumping and piping design;
  • Hydraulic modelling; 
  • Optimisation strategies;
  • Hydrological modelling; and
  • Surface water assessment and management.

Key Criteria
To be successful in your application of Lead Water Resources Engineer, expectations are as follows;
  • BE/MSc Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Environmental is preferred);
  • Minimum of 6+ years' post graduate experience in water resources projects;
  • Technical fluency around hydraulics modelling, equipment sizing, surge analysis, pumping station design, pumping system operation control and instrumentation;
  • Background in feasibility and detail design for mine dewatering and depressurisation system, borefields, pumping stations, and mine site services; 
  • Experience in surface water design such as water resource management, storage design (tanks, turkeys nest, etc), pipe crossings, flood modelling, pit wall/floor drainage, spillways, drains, culverts, open channel and water courses
