Project Support Officer

Our Digital Delivery team is looking for a highly motivated and organised individual that enjoys working in a dynamic environment to be our Project Support Officer.

You will be working across multiple ICT and Operational Technology projects to support the delivery of the Digital Program. As the Project Support Officer, you will provide key support to the Manager Digital Delivery and a small team of Project Managers.

About the role

  • Support the team to deliver projects in line with the Icon Water Digital Strategy.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Icon Water governance related processes and controls.
  • Champion the application of the Investment Planning and Delivery framework across the Digital Technology Group.
  • Support monthly project risk assessments and project assurance reviews.
  • Support project managers in the use of standardised issues, risks and actions registers, ensuring timely review, and that new actions and issues are captured and actioned.
  • Support project managers in the production of project plans, regular project assurance reviews, inter-project dependency reviews.
  • Sourcing and compiling data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Support the administration activities for the team, including individual labour contracts, financial, and a range of onboarding activities.
  • Support in the production of governance and board reporting, meeting support, and follow ups.
  • Support in the preparation of status reports, lodgement, checking and consolidation, as well as the month end forecasting and reporting.

Experience and knowledge you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience as Project Support Officer or similar administration role
  • Experience with reporting (track and report, financial analysis, assurance and reconciliation etc.)
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, and the ability to prioritise activities
  • Demonstrated understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies
  • Strong time management skills and an ability to work under pressure
