We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information. We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities.

We are looking for an experienced leader to manage the operations of water supply systems, ensuring the delivery of water to our customers and the environment are within specified quantities, quality parameters and timeframes for the Lower Darling, Murray and Murrumbidgee valleys.

Leading a team that delivers services to a range of environmental and irrigation customers across regional NSW, you will put your leadership, problem solving and strong engagement skills to good use, ensuring thriving communities and healthy ecosystems. You and your team will identify and implement opportunities for improved operational performance and continual business improvement strategies.

Skills and Qualifications required:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of NSW Water Management legislation, regulations and policies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and engagement skills.
• Proven experience in leadership, developing teamwork and teams that continuously improves operational performance.
• Experience in strategic planning and operating at a management level.
• Ability to interpret complex procedures, whilst looking for ways to improve current processes and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of operations in rivers or related systems.
• Demonstrated ability to devise practical strategies, policies, procedures and tools for water delivery, flood and emergency management
• NSW Driver's License

• Remuneration $146,418 - $178,955 (plus bonus, 9-day fortnight & paid overtime)
