Murray Irrigation Limited is located just north of the Murray River and manages one of the largest irrigation schemes in Australia, taking in 748,000 hectares of land. The company is focused on outcomes achieved through a triple bottom line approach.

The organisation has commenced a major upgrade of its infrastructure utilising its own funds and that of the Commonwealth Government with a total project value in excess of $200 million. The project includes metering, automation, distribution reconfiguration and asset conversion.

Reporting to the Project Accountant, the Assistant Project Accountant will be instrumental in ensuring the company meets its accounting and compliance obligations under the funding agreement. This involves contract administrative support, tracking of costs, cash flow, forecasting, asset capitalisation and overall budget and stock control, variation administration and project performance data.  

Suitably qualified, you will possess an appropriate degree, experience, integrated thinking and working relationships that support the team’s outcomes. Your strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders will be essential.
