 Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new and existing clients throughout key states of Australia and New Zealand.   You will have a diverse client base consisting of water authorities, industry consultants, suppliers, private sector wastewater engineers and project managers. Proven experience in driving successful tender bids and generating new business leads will ensure your success in this newly created role.

 The Role

  • Identifying new business opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, particularly in the industrial sector
  • Implementing the company’s growth strategies in new markets
  • Identifying potential tender opportunities through tender portals
  • Managing the tender/bid process from identification of opportunities through to delivery of tender documents.

 The Successful Applicant

Required skills and background criteria:

  • 5+ years in a similar role in a small to mid-range company
  • Previous business development experience in the water treatment or similar industry
  • Extensive experience in bid management through tenders and report writing
  • Proven ability to developing a pipeline of potential new business contacts/partners
  • Strong negotiation abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Highly motivated and self-directing
  • Be willing to travel as required

Highly considered:

  • Qualified Chemical or Environmental Engineer or similar discipline
  • Formal qualification in Marketing
  • Knowledge of the Queensland market
  • Experience in construction or structural engineering
  • Previous experience with CRM.
