The Department is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to work in the Surface Water team of its Science Group. The Senior Hydrologist, undertakes and coordinates the provision of scientific assessment and advice to inform policy and to contribute to the better management of natural resources. The role manages a team of scientific and technical staff who undertake surface water assessments, investigations and modelling in collaboration with inter-disciplinary teams and DEWNR Branches and Regions. The role is responsible for coordinating project resources including staff and for negotiating and liaising with key stakeholders including NR Regions, contractors and funding bodies.

Essential Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or NRM disciplines with the emphasis on surface water hydrology.
