Apply now to join the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) as Community Partnerships Coordinator, to lead and coordinate vital stakeholder communication and engagement activities within the Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP) team.

The VMFRP is a planned program of infrastructure works and important environmental outcomes to enhance the watering of high valued floodplains on the River Murray in Victoria through the delivery of environmental water.

This position will assist the VMFRP with communications and stakeholder engagement activities for the seven Western and Central projects within the Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP).
The position will lead the development of the Community and Stakeholder Consultation Plans for two Environmental Effects Statements and one Environment Report, as part of the environmental assessment process. This diverse role will see you implementing communication strategies, liaising with media and external stakeholders and overseeing a small team who will be developing relevant information for print and social media.

The role suits an experienced leader who demonstrates exceptional communication, collaboration, stakeholder engagement and consultation skills. The role will coordinate the development and delivery of project activities to achieve key outcomes.

Tertiary qualifications in communications, (or a related discipline) water or natural resource management sector experience is advantageous.

The position is available on a full-time basis until September 2022 (with extension subject to funding). This role is classified as a Senior Executive Officer Position in accordance with the Mallee CMA Enterprise Agreement with a remuneration of $116,897.92 per annum, plus superannuation.
