Apply now to join the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) as a Traditional Owner Project Officer. This role will support the Traditional Owner and Engagement team to build and maintain meaningful relationships with Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAP) and non-RAP Traditional Owners groups to assist in the decision-making processes regarding the Central and West sites of the Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP).

The VMFRP is a planned program of infrastructure works and important environmental outcomes to enhance the watering of high valued floodplains on the River Murray in Victoria through the delivery of environmental water.

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate culturally appropriate communication, consultation, coordination and engagement skills. In addition, you should posess a sound knowledge of the Mallee floodplains and landscape.

Tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management (or a related discipline) and experience in a similar role is desirable.

The position is available on a full-time basis until September 2022 (with extension subject to funding). This role is classified as a Band 7 – Band 8 Position in accordance with the Mallee CMA Enterprise Agreement with a remuneration range of $69,530.92- $87,383.21 per annum plus superannuation, dependant on skills and experience.
