We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information.  We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities. We also own and operate the largest surface and groundwater monitoring network in the southern hemisphere and build, maintain and operate essential infrastructure.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team. You will carry out technically robust and timely assessments of development applications and provide recommendations in relation to the regulatory role in the Sydney drinking water catchment; you will provide expert advice on State Significant Developments and Infrastructure projects within the catchment; and provide advice on storm water and wastewater management

Your role will see you working closely with our major stakeholders including local councils and the Department of Planning and Environment. We are looking for someone who is organised, deadline driven and has strong stakeholder management skills. You will be undertaking site inspections as part of the role.

About you…

 

  • Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental planning or related discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience in water quality impact assessment and management, including storm water and waste water and the related requirements under Part 4 of the Environmental Planning and Asessment Act 1979.
  • Current and valid Drivers Licence. 

Experience in the application of State Environmental Planning Policy (Sydney Drinking Water Catchment) 2011 will be viewed favourable as will experience in the assessment of State significant developments and infrastructure projects.
