 Coleambally Irrigation Co-operative Limited is a world class irrigation company operating a modern and highly automated gravity irrigation delivery service across an area of 400,000 ha. CICL seeks a suitably qualified engineer to fill the role of Works Planning Engineer

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • develop work plans and cost estimates for delivering CICL's capital and maintenance works programs
  • identify opportunities to deliver works more efficiently and more economically
  • engage, liaise with and supervise contractors
  • formulate and implement plans, in conjunction with the General Manager Operations and the Asset & Maintenance Manager, to ensure that CICL's approach to asset management conforms with best practice
  • undertake asset condition and risk assessments
  • support the conduct of periodic external reviews of CICL's asset life cycle assessments
  • become CICL's asset management program champion
  • become familiar with CICL's equipment and procedures to control the channel system

CICL's ideal candidate will be a qualified civil engineer with 1 to 5 years practical engineering experience, bur recent graduates will also be considered.

Other criteria:

  • hold accreditation with Engineers Australia
  • capacity to work collaboratively within a small team
  • an affinity to live and work in a farming community in regional Australia
  • good oral and written communication skills
  • must have Australian Permanent Resident status

An attractive aremuneration package, which can include subsidised housing, will be offered to the successfull applicant
