The position is based on the Townsville, Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas, with remuneration at HEWL 4 $63,063- $66,991 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions to UniSuper. 

What you can accomplish in the role

The Research Assistant conducts the day-to-day technical aspects of macro algal culture for the industry-partnered project ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub (ARC ITRH) for Supercharging Tropical Aquaculture through Genetic Solutions. The incumbent will provide support for data analysis and interpretation, and fieldwork, as required.

The Research Assistant will have relevant work experience in the cultivation of freshwater and marine macroalgae including the installation and maintenance of culture systems.
