The Coalition has scored 4/100 on the Australian Conservation Foundation’s climate change policy scorecard.

The scorecard rates Labor better on 56 per cent, but says the ALP is held back by “fairly weak” coal policies, including an “unclear” position on the Adani Carmichael coalmine.

The Greens scored 99 per cent, with “very good” policies in all areas including renewable energy and protecting natural habitats.

ACF chief Kelly O’Shanassy environmental issues “are top issues for Australians at this election, according to numerous opinion polls and the ABC’s vote compass”.
