Melbourne Water has appointed a new managing director.

Dr Nerina Di Lorenzo will take on the role of Managing Director at Melbourne Water from 1 December, 2021.

Dr Di Lorenzo joined Melbourne Water in 2019 and has reportedly played a critical role in shaping the authority’s approach to providing secure water services.

Prior to joining Melbourne Water, she has held several executive leadership positions including almost five years as CEO of Moreland City Council, and working within the oil sector in Asset Management, Infrastructure Operations, Project Delivery and Business Improvement.

Dr Di Lorenzo holds bachelor’s degrees in engineering and business and has a PhD in organisational change management.

She will take over from Michael Wandmaker, who has been at the helm of Melbourne Water for the past seven years.
