Role Overview
As the Dartmouth storage operations manager, you will lead a multifunctional team to ensure the ongoing and effective operation, emergency response, maintenance, and safety of Dartmouth storage to agreed standards and regulatory requirements.
This role requires excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the ongoing development of storage-related services, including emergency preparedness, risk mitigation, and catchment protection.
Additionally, you will need to have an understanding of water storage management requirements and OH&S regulations, enjoy working outdoors in a team environment, and possess the skills to manage minor projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multifunctional team to ensure the ongoing operation, maintenance, and safety of Dartmouth storage.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop dam-related services, including emergency preparedness, risk mitigation, and catchment protection.
- Ensure compliance with agreed standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage minor projects related to storage operations and maintenance.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OH&S regulations.
- Be available as part of a four-person roster.
- Utilise excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and authorities.
Requirements
- Experience in water storage management or related field
- Understanding of OH&S regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
- Ability to work outdoors in a team environment
- Capability to manage minor projects related to dam operations
- Willingness to be available on a four-person roster and return to Dartmouth storage within 10 minutes as required
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance
