The Executive Officer (EO) leads the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) Office in its collaboration, planning, implementation and ongoing development of Victoria’s environmental watering program.

The Executive Officer (EO) leads the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) Office in its collaboration, planning, implementation and ongoing development of Victoria’s environmental watering program. The EO is accountable to the VEWH Commission for the effective and efficient day-to-day performance of the organisation, including ensuring compliance with legislation and Government policies, and ensuring the VEWH’s policies and strategies are effectively implemented.

A key part of this role is to build and maintain strong relationships within the organisation and with the many partner organisations who contribute to the environmental watering program, and with key stakeholders who have an interest in the program’s environmental outcomes or the associated community benefits.

The EO will play a major role in ensuring that the VEWH is a high-performing, capable niche organisation with a collaborative culture that manages Victoria’s environmental water entitlements and cooperates with partners to improve the environmental health of rivers, wetlands and floodplains.

This is a fixed term position for a period of 12 months.
