We are seeking an experienced and engaging individual. A focus for this role is supporting teams, managing change and driving continuous improvement across all facets of health, safety and environment.

Rous County Council is situated in Lismore, the heart of the Northern Rivers with an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

• Remuneration from $92,170 p.a. - $107, 811 p.a. (plus statutory superannuation)

Your average workday will be kept busy by:

• Proactively engaging with staff at all levels (including on ground in the field) to ensure an accurate understanding of workplace issues and risks (current and emerging) and to cultivate high levels of health, safety and environment awareness.
• Establishing metrics, evaluating and analysing performance and compliance and preparing reports (verbal and written) for a broad variety of audiences including staff, management and Council’s Audit Risk and Improvement Committee.
• Driving continuous improvement across all facets of health, safety and environment utilising innovative and practical strategies and solutions.
