Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.

We are looking for an Electrical Services Technician to join our team. This exciting role contributes as a member of a team to perform routine operation, maintenance and servicing of Water Services electrical assets associated with water and wastewater systems across urban and remote communities assigned to the NT Southern Region.

We are looking for someone who has an “A grade” electrical workers licence, with experience in the electrical equipment associated to the water and wastewater industry. Well-developed communication and time management skills are required. They will have the ability to work as a key player in a small team environment and interact effectively with a diverse range of people. Current NT drivers’ licence, and knowledge of OH&S standards relating to the water industry are mandatory.

Qualifications in Instrumentation, Controls, Water operations, as well as experience in the use of SCADA systems for fault diagnosis, are considered highly desirable.
