The Western Australian Government has announced a $2 million major upgrade of Kojonup’s water supply pipeline, with over two kilometres of pipe being replaced along the Albany Highway.

State Water Minister Bill Marmion said mich of the work would be undertaken in the area’s central business district and is due for completion by July.

“It is essential this work goes ahead now because the pipeline in this critical area of town is nearing the end of its economic life,” Mr Marmion said.

“The result will be a reduction in the probability of bursts and Kojonup will have a more reliable water supply.”

“I thank the community for input already received into this essential water infrastructure upgrade and ask for their patience during construction works during the next few months,” Mr Marmion said.
