The Australian Water Association has announced 29 finalists for the WA Water Awards, with projects involving desalination, residential developments and innovative beverage packaging all in the running for this year’s awards.

The 29 finalists, across 10 categories, were short-listed from 46 nominations and represent projects from multi-national and specialist organisations, State Government departments, local governments, schools and individuals.

State Water Minister, Bill Marmion, said the awards program showcase the innovative work being undertaken in the sector.

The breadth and depth of the entries reflects the diverse approach being taken across the State in conserving, managing and protecting our most precious resource,” Mr Marmion said.

“It is also gratifying to see people of all ages and backgrounds getting involved and laying the foundations for a sustainable water future.”
