The Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) is marking the end of a 7-year partnership deal with an Indigenous group.

WSAA says it has completed the Water Operator Partnership project sponsored by Australian Water Partnership, to assist the Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited Kukl (KUKL) to develop and implement good asset management practices across their organisation.

The program was led by WSAA’s Graeme Bartle-Smith, with support from Hunter Water and Logan City Council from 2017 to 2024. The project was designed to enable significant development and improvement in KUKL asset management.

WSAA says the impact of this partnership extends far beyond the project timeline, leaving a lasting legacy of enhanced asset management capabilities within KUKL.
