About the role

The Infrastructure Planner will assist in the implementation of continuous improvement processes to our water supply and recycled water planning. This includes contributing to the development of the Urban Water Strategy, water, water recycling and water reuse infrastructure master planning, and development of relevant projects into business cases ready for handover to capital delivery.

Based primarily at our Bairnsdale Head Office, this ongoing position is pivotal to supporting the planning and future delivery of essential services to the region, and ensuring that we are best placed to meet the future needs of our customers, the community and the corporation.

What can you bring to the role?

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the engineering principles of water supply and sewerage systems, and an understanding of whole of asset life cycle planning. You will have the opportunity to utilise a collaborative approach, and problem-solving skills to fully understand site specific issues, analyse data and draw conclusions to develop detailed reports and business cases.

If you have a relevant degree in engineering, science or related discipline, research and analytical skills, and an understanding of how business strategies contribute to the achievement of overall business objectives, then we would like to hear from you. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Familiarity with our region and services, along with knowledge of water resource, water treatment and recycled water infrastructure will be a distinct advantage.
