We are currently seeking a Business Resilience Specialist to coordinate and deliver the Sydney Water business resilience framework so that the organisation has the capability and capacity to effectively plan, prepare, respond and recover from disruption to its people, assets, information, operations and reputation.

In this role you will:

• Coordinate and conduct Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, Business Impact Analyses, Business Continuity Plans, Emergency Management Plans and Crisis Management Plans across the organisation within the scope of accountabilities.

• Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders to enable the deployment of a consistently integrated and chronological framework.

• Contribute to integrated reporting to Sydney Water Executive, A&R committee and the Board as required.

• Coordinate and deliver Business Resilience training to stakeholders to increase their capacity to manage disruption and establish common context for the capability development moving forward.

To be successful you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in business continuity management, emergency management, risk management or equivalent experience and 5 - 7 years' experience in a similar role for a large organisation.

Working as part of a team in a changing and challenging environment, you will have the following experience: 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong customer focus.

• Experience in networking and group interaction, while functioning as a change agent.

• Excellent conceptual and critical thinking skills combined with a demonstrated ability to solve problems, logically, practically and laterally, in real time.

• Significant recent and relevant, experience in the application of the business continuity and/or emergency management frameworks in a large decentralised/distributed service organisation or government department.

• Practical experience designing and implementing a toolsets, guidelines and training in support of framework implementation, delivery and assurance.
